The eggs on this website have been photographed at various museum institutions across Canada. While there is substantial variation in egg morphology and colouration even within a species, we hope that this collection of images will be useful for researchers, field biologists, and amateur ornithologists to help with nest and egg identification when adult birds are not observed.

All eggs were collected and stored under appropriate federal and provincial permits at the various institutions they were photographed.
